Michigan Summer Beer Festival – July 22-23, 2022

Want to relax in the park with a beer in your hand? 

In neighboring Ypsilanti, the Michigan Summer Beer Festival hosts 100+ Michigan breweries in Riverside Park with more than 1,000 beers to try! There will also be food and live music from Michigan bands.

The Michigan Summer Beer Festival is on July 22-23. Festival hours on Friday are 5 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday hours are 1 pm to 6 pm. Tickets are $50 if bought in advance or $60 at the gate on Friday, and $55 in advance or $65 at the gate on Saturday. All patrons must be 21+.

Ann Arbor Arts Fair – July 21-23, 2022

Looking for a fun way to spend a sunny weekend?

The Ann Arbor Art Fair features over 1,000 artists from across the country across 30 city blocks. The Ann Arbor Art Fair consists of 3 art fairs in 1: The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, Ann Arbor State Street Fair, and the Summer Art Fair. You can find paintings, jewelry, pottery, clothing, prints, photography, and more from independent artists.

Food booths will be available too! Participating restaurants include Black Pearl, Blue Llama, Chop House, Real Seafood Company, and more.

The Ann Arbor Art Fair takes place from July 21-23. Thursday and Friday fair hours are 10 am to 9 pm, and Saturday hours are 10 am to 8 pm. Entry is free. 

Shuttle buses are available to get to the fair. When you stay at The Kensington Hotel, you can take the shuttle near Briarwood mall.

Nichols Arboretum

Called the Arb, Nichols Arboretum has incorporated native and exotic plants into the landscape since its creation in 1907. The Arb has 3.5 miles of trails to walk with views of seasonal gardens, such as the peony garden, the centennial shrub collection which contains hydrangeas, old cornelian cherries, native shadblow, and more. Leashed dogs are allowed but no bikes are allowed on the trails.

Veterans Memorial Park

Sunny days should be spent at Veterans Memorial Park! The park is 37 acres, has 5 baseball fields, a pool, a skatepark, a playground, and tennis courts. Hold your next cookout here with their grills and picnic tables. Along their waking paths are rain gardens with beautiful native plants. The park is open from 6 am to midnight and leashed dogs are allowed.
